Fracturing Movement
A selection of works created around the Ginkgo Bilabo leaf and Newt and Frog motifs using ink, watercolour, charcoal and oil.
Displayed here as part of the same artistic vocabulary with the Ginkgo leaves with separating line and form, the Newts and Frogs form part of a larger private mural commission taking place in London Summer 2024.
Movement, latent movement and motion matter to me in my work, as well as the interplay between foreground and background. I am curious to explore how the background can be used as a foreground and how that can resonate with and against the image to create senses of holding, space, imagination, past present and future.
